3 week old turbo shaft wiggles, is it bad???
The Dodge dealership installed a brand new HY35 turbo on my truck because the old one leaked oil. It was covered under warranty, no problem. Today, I started to take off the silencer ring and thought I would check the shaft play. WOW!!! it wiggles up and down and in and out!!! The old one didn't wiggle at all at 83,000 miles. Will a little play or wiggle hurt the turbo?
The brand new turbo doesn't have a thousand miles on it!! I guess I'll call the dealer back tommorrow.
