Question 3 new belts and still jumping off!!

My friends 2001 Ram has a problem that has baffled both of us. For some un-godly reason his belt keeps jumping off but, only by a rib or 2 at the AC pully. Now the baffling part is all the pulleys are running true and are not loose. The tentioner has been replace twice as well. Could he have gotten to weak tentioners? After all they are from Napa! Anywho, please, ANY insite or ideas whould be appreciated! Thanks for reading!

Thanks very much! We think it might be it but need further investigation before going with a different tentioner yet again!

I had the same issue, replaced the worn belt with a new one from napa, it jumped off all the time. Replaced the idler pulley, still jumped off. Could not figure it out. Went and bought another belt from dodge ($70.00), put it on, does not jump off any more.

Don't ask me why...

Check the AC compressor hub for the clutch bearing going out. The clutch will run true when engaged but may wobble when disengaged.

That may be it! It's weird but, at one point the damper and pulley looked like it was wobbling a tad and now it's not at all. Hummmmm Does anyone know where to get a decent damper? Ley me know! Thanks alot guys!
