2nd band end of adjustment

As many know now, I didn't pay attention and adjusted front band to 72ft/lbs instead of 72in/lbs. I backed out adjustment screw, drived truck around block, re-adjusted screw but it goes almost all the way in before hitting the 72in/lbs zone.
I feel truck is slipping a little on 2nd gear, but not sure.

What are my chances tranny will last few more months ? Or will I be better call a rebuilder ?
I need the truck and don't quite have the money, but if in need I will have to cope with.

Looks like you might have bent the band strut when you over tightened the adjustment bolt. If it is bent, the adjustment that you made will not hold since the strut is now not staight anymore and is now weakend.
You'd better start saving you pennies for the rebuild or replacement.
195k isn't a bad run for a stock tranny .
