24V stumble finally solved...

... on my truck at least. I plugged the MAP back into the factory wiring harness, leaving the MAP connections on my Comp hanging there, and I also replaced the orificed boost elbow with the stocker, so that boost would be limited to the stock 20 psi or so.
The dreaded stumble was gone! ;D
Of course without sensing any boost though, the Comp did nothing that I could tell. Off & 5/5 felt exactly the same... no power difference. So I plugged the Map back into the comp and the Comp back into the factory Map connection, but left the factory boost elbow in cuz I was mid roadtest. Still no stumble, and 34 psi boost ;D

Then I tried removing the boost elbow completely, and plugged the outlet. Still no stumble, 44 psi boost and quick throttle response.
Looking at the orificed boost elbow tonight with a flashlight, it looks like either a little piece of teflon or a piece of brass thread is partially blocking the tiny passageway : :

Tomorrow I will clean it out and reinstall it and see if the stumble is still gone, and also to keep the boost at a reasonable 38 or so.

Well now that your stumble is fixed you are going to have to add the ;DTWINS ;D so you can make 60 psi of Boost! That is if you want to keep up to that Chebby of mine . Glad to hear that it is finnaly running good!

Re:24V stumble finally solved...

Hey don't get me wrong, I would have bought the Dodge CTD except when my 6.5 puked it guts I had a truck that needed a engine anyhow. The cost for the ISB versus another 6.5 was almost identical. So I figured that I would put the best diesel engine in the truck!

Love that Cummins!
