24v dies when put in gear

I have a 99 dodge and when it is cold out and the truck has been sitting for a long time it will die when i put it into drive. If i give it alittle throttle and pop it in drive it is fine and goes just fine. It only does it when it sits for a long time and is cold and has been doing it since it started getting cold out in the fall. If anyone has any ideas let me know thanks.

I believe that is pretty common with an upgraded torque converter.

Thats just a symptom of a tight converter, Just let it idle a little longer and you will be fine.

Put it in neutral and let it idle a couple minutes in neutral whenever you start it up..
