I think there are subtle driveshaft length differences, other than that I think it is a direct bolt in.

Both of mine are DHDs so I have no experience with a DLD.

for some reason i think that the input gear has a different number of teeth. i k when i did my tranny swap from auto to man, i had to change out the input gear from the 27 spline to a 29 spline. other than that i cant remember what the differences are. ive got a parts book at home and can take a look at it and get back on here tomorrow on the differences.

Autos should have a 23 spline for both DHD/DLD, Manuals should be 29 for both.

I think the tailhousing on the DHD is about an inch longer.

Kinda hard to get an exact OAL, but it is real, real close to 19-5/8" from the flange mounting to the end of the tailhousing. The seal sticks back anoutther 1" or so.

The actual tailhousing is 9-1/2" with another 1" for the seal.

Didn't think it would be good to measure to the center of the Ujoint cap due to it being a slip youke, and each could be slightly different.
