241 DLD transfer case parts breakdown?
241 DLD transfer case parts breakdown?
I replaced a front bearing on my input shaft yesterday & today I noticed that the T-case won't go into 4wd Low range. I think the ball bearings going through the case may have caused this. Anyone have a parts breakdown sheet?

I don't have a breakdown sheet, but had mine apart to put in a bearing kit. There isn't much in there for the price they ask of it.
Parts for the bearing kit was $150. If you need the chain and sprockets its near $500.
If you have an FSM, it has all the break down. I downloaded one for an 01 and it worked fine for mine.

question on this I have seen rebuild company for a remain rebuilt with warranty on these for 1k to 1300$ i know the full rebuild kits to do everything your talking a easy 800-900. wouldnt if be better to just do a new one. but I have never tore apart a transfcase so i dont know how easy or pain it is. I have the HD version dont really think there is much diff in price. mine is needing some TLC soon so I dont know what route to go.

I got the transfer case fixed today. The sunchronizer hub has 3 inserts which are held in place by 2 snap rings. One of my snap rings were missing. I think one of the little ballbearings may have pulled it out & made pieces out of it. I'm surprised that nothing was damaged, but it shifts better than ever now. I replaced all of the inserts & both snap rings.

What are the symtoms of missing a snap ring on the sunchronizer? Im getting vibrating on the high way if i let off the pedal a bit and a bang if I pedal quickly
