24 valve engine

does anyone know if the pre heater in the intake can stop the diesel from starting or is it just the pump that heats the fuel

the grid heater you refer to only heats the air coming through the manifold.

There is no other heating for starting in these engines besides what 'HIGH COUTRY' explained. Best preheating method out there IMO.
