BHAF...Increase MPG???

I am looking at increasing my MPG (aren't we all) and was wondering if anyone saw any better mpg with a BHAF or aftermarket cold air sytem versus the stock filter and assembly...

After 5 trucks I've never seen a considerable mpg gain with BHAF, if I had any it was so minimal it could have been different driving habits.
I use them to increase air flow a little and better filtration.

Judging by your signature you have a 4:11 rearend with a dually, I would just add Rv275 injectors and that's it for mpg gaining, but watch your tranny though !!!

First of all, what are your mpg? What are your driving habbits? What are your maintenance habbits? When was the last time your checked the air in your tires?

MPG is all relative when your running these sized rigs. I'm getting 18-22 MPG between city, climbing and highway. I'm considerig installing a BHAF and was wondering if there is a power/performance improvement. Would appreciate some input before I go through the hassle.

I see your running a K&N? If so I would 86 that. As for the BHAF it is no hassel to install, but you will not increase mpg or power, just more filter surface and sound from your turbo.

Hassle ? BHAF is the easiest thing to install, second to your tire valve cap

I would ditch that K&N faaaast !!!

What is the most recommended BHAF for our trucks? (Not K+N evidently) Looking at putting one on myself. Are you guys just cleaning your filters regularly with these setups- or replacing them at a specific interval? I'm in a pretty dusty area.

I have an S&B air filter and did the 4 in exhaust at the same time. I don't have 4x4 but my mileage went from 17mpg to 20mpg at 75mph. Just a hair higher at 60-65mph (21.5 mpg). Since I added my xzillaraider I have seen a slight drop in mileage when using PL2. I am trying PL1 now to see if it makes any difference. All of my upgrades were aimed at mileage altho a little extra oomph is nice too.
