For the last 2 years I've been trying to remedy a steering column issue. Every time I turn left or right it sounds like nails on a chalk board. The sound is inside the cab/column not in engine compartment. I tried taking all plastic column piece's off inside the truck and inspect/service anything I could find. Dodge built the internals like Fort Knocks! Please help! New too site but have taken a ton of advice from all of you.

 

I had noises in that same area. I sprayed what I could get to with spray silicone lube. Had to do it every couple of years but it worked. A dry bushing where it goes through the firewall ???
