2001 Ram2500 owner's manual

We just purchased a 2001 Ram 2500 Diesel. Love it so far. I notice that Edit has downloadable owner's manuals for 2004 and newer (free). Anyone know of or have a pdf manual for the 2001? Alternatively, how much different is the 2004 from the 2001? Will I go wrong using the newer manual as a guide?

2004 should be close to the same servicing schedules and basic things. The interior layouts have changed a little bit. You could email Dodge and ask if they could email you a 2001 in PDF file, they might send it to you. Ive emailed them for build sheets and have always gotten satisfactory responses within 2 to 5 business days

You most likely can still get a new one and they are not expensive. E-bay has them from time to time. I would not rely on a different year for maintenance as options change from year to year. I will bet a new one delivered is less than 25.00.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to cause a problem. Won't happen again .

When I bought my 2001 I also didn't get a manual with it, so I went to the dealer and they provided me with a phone number to call for the company that publishes the manuals for them. If memory serves, it cost around $14.00 to have it shipped to me; also if memory serves they were a little slow getting it to me. Sorry I don't have the number anymore; it's been almost 3 years and I didn't see a reason to hang onto it. Anyway, this is one option if you can't get DC to send you a pdf file via email.

Ive bought 2 vehicles before without manuals and now I make it a point to check for it before I buy it. If its not there the dealer will either provide one for me free of charge or I will require another $100 off the price that Ive already negotiated. IMO its no less important than making sure all the gauges and lights work
