2001 Injection Pump!!!!!

HELP!!! I am getting a check engine light when i step on it, and only winding it up to maybe 2500rpm in 5th gear.... not so much in 6th. I have a FASS lift pump on it, i think its a 95gph. it uses the stock fuel filter. so it should be getting adaquate fuel pressure. I had the engine light read at a Knechts and it said "low fuel injection pump, bank A."?? not sure if its cause of my Edge Comp Box or what, please help. thanks

List the actual code numbers, also what is your fuel pressure at, last filter change, miles on VP?

the truck has 80,000 on it, and fuel pressure is 15 at idle. that is measured via a bango bolt i put inbetween the fuel filter and VP. do i find the codes by turning the key three times then watch the mileage screen?? or you mean from knechts, it just said bank A fuel pressure low

If you can get the actual code # that would be very helpful! You can do the key trick in your 01. Start with the key on, then go off-on-off-on-off-on and read the codes in the odometer window. It will read pdone if there are no logged codes in the system. If you do end up needing a pump, I would highly recommend the Blue Chip pumps. I just got mine about a month ago and it runs great! I didn't realize how worn out my old pump was until I put this baby on! Good luck!

Okay, P1693 is just a companion code, means nothing to you in this instance. The P1682 is Charging System Output Voltage Low. Check your battery condition as well as alternator output. Your truck could very well run funny or have intermittent throttle issues if the APPS or VP isn't seeing a minimum of 12 volts. Good luck and post back with what you find!
