2001 Dodge Ram 2500 24v Hard Steering at low rpms
I recently replaced my track bar on the truck to get rid of the play in the steering. I am still having trouble turning the truck at low rpm and am not sure what is causing this. Any help or thoughts are appriciated?
Truck is sitting on 4 inch lift with 35s. no issues when rpm is over 1k while turning.
Has 194k on the motor and tranny. The gearbox was replaced by a previous owner at some unkown point.

Pump out the power steering fluid. Take off the high pressure line, then take out the large fitting the high pressure line goes into. Check the filter screen in that fitting. It may be plugged up. Your tire size may be part of the problem. There is a write up on Pirate 4X4.com on how to boost the pressure. You need to be careful though, as things can go bad.
