has anyone heard anything about a recall on the brake calipers for a 2001 or there abouts? buddy called me today and said something about a recall on the calipers. thanks.

 

First I've heard of this. My 01.5 calipers are doing great so far. Got almost 100k on them.

 

thats what i said. mine is also an 2001.5 and just past 100k also. i will make some calls in the am.

 

Let me know what you find out if you wouldn't mind. I planned on replacing the braking system this summer with all aftermarket stuff but am still debating calipers since they are dual piston and have lasted so long.

 

made some calls and this is the jist of what i was told....
recall on some cherokee's caliper bolts and some mini vans also thats about all i could find out. if you got a notice then you need to take it in for repair. so in a nutshell (no recall on our trucks).

 

Local dealer here has not heard of anything. Please somebody find out so I can "inform" them
