2001.5 apps woes

so I have been having to reset the apps about every 2-3 weeks. The symptom I have been having is an engine surge on light or constant throttle. Resetting the apps helps immediately, but the engine goes back to the surging after about 2-3 weeks. quite annoying.

any thoughts? or do I just need to replace it. and if replace it inevitable how expensive are they and how hard are they to change out.

Yeah, its shot.

Don't mess around with the dealer, go straight to a Timbo APPS.

Around $150, at least back when I got mine, follow the directions and your good to go.

Take Sixslugs advice and get the Timbo APPS. I got one for my truck back in the fall, it fixed the surging and the TC locking and unlocking under light throttle. I was gonna try a noise filter first but after getting some advice here i spent the money on a new APPS since mine was the original with almost 200K miles on it.
