2001.5-'02 3500 DRW disc brake Dana 80 axle width?
Hi. I am new here. I came here researching an axle swap with a Dana 80 for my '92 F350.
I would like to know what is the hub to hub (wms to wms) width of a Dana 80 axle with disc brakes from a Dodge diesel dual rear wheel pickup?
Also if anyone knows the spring perch center to spring perch center measurement that would be helpful too!
My truck is a single rear wheel 4x4 that I want to convert to duals with disc brakes and stronger axle. The axle in there now is a Sterling 10.25" with drums and 4.56 gears. It uses lug-centered wheels with 8x6.5" bolt circle and 9/16" studs.
Are the studs on the Dana 80, 9/16" too? If anyone knows the hub diameter that would also be helpful so I can know what wheels will fit the axle. Are the hubs lug-centered or hub pilot centered?
Thanks for any info you can give.

Wheels are hubcentric. Ford wheels will work on the rear, since the pilot holes are the same size. They are 9/16" studs as well, but you will need the uni-lug style nuts, with the built in washer. The width on my 98 drum brake rear was something like 79". The axles *SHOULD* be close in width, but I'm not gonna make any gaurantees.
Thanks for the reply Tate.
When you say the Dodge Dana 80 hubs are the same size as the Ford, which Ford axle are you refering to?
(the '97-down Ford version of the Dana 80 in the F-Superduty(450) chassis-cab trucks has bigger hubs than my Sterling axle, if I'm not mistaken, in addition to 10-lug wheels).
