2000 Dodge 2500 questions
Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and new to diesels, I looking at a 2000 2500 SLT Cummins. It is an auto, and has 96K on it. I was just wondering if there is anything special that I should look for, like if the fuel pump has been replaced or not, mainly stuff that would give me problems right after I buy it. Also Im in CT and he is looking for $14,000 for it, It is a fairly clean truck both inside and outside, Does this sound good or a little high?
Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the DTR. Look for a 53 block http://www.stamey.info/Truck/Cummins53BlockFAQ.htm and check for codes. Turn the key to the on position but do not start, off, on, off and finally on again leaving it on. If cides are stored they will come up in your odometer. The steering is probably gonna be bad but they all are. If its got a aftermarket lift pump it would be nice. Just drive it and look over it good, you can tell if its been abused daily. $14k is high, is it 4x4 extended cab?
