My truck died on me today. I was going down the road, when the engine died. No shutter or anything, just like you cut the key off. Rolled on down the road until I could get off the side of the road. Tried to start it back up, no clicking or anything at the starter. Its like I lost all power to the starter and engine? All gauges and blower on the AC works. Just no power to the engine or starter.
I was 60 miles from home with the camper in Tow. Wife was behind me in her truck with the boat. We called our Road Side towing. They send out a rollback. Wife's cousin came out and towed the camper back home for us. Rollback dropped the truck off at the Mechanics yard.
Anyone ever had this issue?

Mechanic found the issue today. Turned out to be a 30 Amp Maxi Fuse had blow. It tested good Sunday. He told me it tested good when he was checking them. But he also tested the output side of the box. And found that one was not allowing power to feed through it. So new fuse and its back running.. So High dollar tow bill for a $5 fuse.. Told him to go ahead and service the truck. Oil filters Tran's fluid brakes and go over it.
