I have a 1999 3500 4x4 manufactured in June of 1999.
I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the 47re & torque converter out of a 2000 would work?
The casting on the bellhousing is the same and both trannys are behind a 5.9 diesel and 4 wheel drive.
Please help!!!!

The only issue I see is if you have the nv241hd transfer case (pto plate on side of transfer case) which uses a different (larger) output shaft for the rear driveshaft. Dunno otherwise.
