01' Cummings will not start, need help!

I have an 01' Dodge with Cummings 24V Turbo Diesel, (Motor is completley stock.) I Started it up today & backed out of the garage and it just died and will not start, just cranks over and over. Haven't had ANY problems with it running or starting in the recent past, it has just up'ed and quit. Yesterday a friend let me try out a Superchip and ran the truck around for about 10 mins. with it and then removed the program. Could this have anything to do with it or is this just coincidental. I didn't really romp on it hard with the chip installed, just ran it around the block a bit. Any suggestions?

start with fuel pressure at the pump. I doubt it is air, basically the only 2 things that let a diesel run for the most part. If you have fuel then it is something electrical not lettting it go, but kinda doubt that.

check codes, if all you get with the key trick is 1693, you will have to use a scanner to pull them.
0216,1688,1689 are vp44 failure codes

As johnh mentioned check for codes first. Key on, off, on, off, on, and read the codes on the odometer. Then try the starter bump to see if the lift pump runs. Bump the starter but don't start the engine and leave the key on, you should hear the lift pump running for 25 seconds. if it's not running then you probably need a new one. Even if it runs it doesn't mean its pumping fuel. This is where a fuel pressure gauge is necessary. If it does pump fuel bleed the fuel to the injector pump and try a start. if it still won't go crack a couple of injectors 1,2 and 4 then crank until fuel leaks out ( it may start and run rough) then tighten them up and check for leaks. good luck I assume you have fuel in the tank, its not faulty indication and you filter is OK.......
