Wow!!
Wow!!
Been tweaking on the truck a little lately. Turned the fuel screw until I had a slight hang when I let go of the throttle and then backed it off 1/4 turn. I also turned the star wheel 5 turns from the top, spun the fuel pin to the deep side, and backed the smoke screw out flush with the cap. The truck is pushing the limits of the HX35-12wg now! Very responsive. I've got a solid 35psi under a hard pull and holding at a steady 1250 deg with an empty truck. Good thing I don't pull anything! I'm sure it would be fine, as long as I drove by the pyro. Smoke is cleared to a slight haze once the boost gets up into the upper 20's. If I had a real turbo and a healthy lift pump to fuel some bigger injectors I know for a fact this old first gen would dust my previous over valved truck, for a lot less money! I also gave her 4 new Pioneer 6x9's and a Pioneer MP3 deck. Feels like a new truck! Now I need to get her painted.
Just felt compelled to share. I love this old truck!

And my brother with his $45,000 Duramax powered Chevy wonders why I love my truck. He pays more in 8 months of payments than I paid for my truck. His 9th month paid for all of my gauges and mods. The rest of his year will come close to paying for my paint job. (Once it's done that is.)
A little wrenching and my truck will run like a coyote after a rabbit. He's afraid he'll void the warranty if he floors his. On top of it all my truck rides better than his and mine's a dually!
