I was talking to Jim Lane about doing my headlight relays last night. This morning early my switch went out along with the plug. The plug is a melted mess. Now I need to find a good plug somewhere. I said many bad words trying to get the switch out. Good luck on your switch.

RollingCoal, my plug was also melted, and I couldnt find a replacement at all, so I used weather-tight crimp-on disconnects and have several of the wires "plugged" in individualy. I left the remains of the plastic "plug" in place to help isolate and ID where they went. it works just fine.

The trick to getting the switch in/out easier is to depress the parking brake as far as you can and reach up between the sidewall and the hood release.

Oh great! .... my switch plug melted too and I completely by-passed the switch system with toggle switch and relays. However I did buy a new switch at the time and now you've pointed the way to a practical installation. Now I'm in for more hours of standing on my head working under my dashboard.

It is hard to believe that Dodge used such light wire to wire a truck that is used to pull trailers ect.. I am either going to wire it all into a set of toggle switches or find a switch and plug out of something else and try to figure out the wiring scheme. Then put it all on relays and be done with it. I love my ole Dodge but the wiring is a pain, throughout the whole truck the wiring lacks alot.
