Windshield gasket- buyer beware

I bought a Precision windshield gasket to go with my new windshield. It fits like crap. DO NOT BUY. i kept my old gasket and am having it put back in. My windshield leaks horribly from the top corners. You can see in the pics how small it is compared to the libe from the old gasket..

I could have told you that and saved you some time and money.
The new replacement windows are THINNER. The new windshields with even leak when used with the old OEM windshield gaskets as they are about a MM thinner.
The new replacement window gaskets are junk.

I find the best result come from using OEM old Mopar windows with the original window gaskets. Look for the Pentastar etched into the window.
That is what I did when Poncho needed a new windshield.

Well at least i have the old one. Perhaps he can put some additional sealant in there to make sure there no more leaks. As I recall Safelite did a windshield a bit over 20 years ago and after the glass was in he ran a calking gun with sealant under the edge of the gasket.
