Will my '93 engine worh with my '92 harness?
Will my '93 engine work with my '92 harness?
I am planning to wire-up my ctd from a '93 w350. I have the engine harness out of a '92 w250 and the dash harness out of a '92 w250 and another out of a '92 w350. All ctds. Am I going to have problems with anything. I was thinking they would be the same. Thanks, Eric
Thanks, that's what I thought, but I read something the other day about somebody worried about a pcm problem. What's a pcm by the way? I lost track of the glossary on this site.
92 and 93 PCM's and harness should be the same. I can tell you the 91.5 IC harness is different, as I have one of those and a 93. I used the 93 harness in the RCC.
92/93 has the integrated voltage regulator in the PCM, too. It has to have the crank trigger to make the alternator work too.
I adapted a 97 motor and engine devices to the 93 engine harness, it wasn't too bad.
