Will a 2wd steering column work on a 4wd?

My steering column is making a whole bunch of weird noises and I found a 2wd steering column to replace it. I have a borgeson shaft which is for a 2wd and 4wd. Will it work?

Yes the main column is the same. It's the intermediate shafts that is different.

Yeah the shaft that goes between the column and the box is the only difference. I just did the same swap in reverse 2wd to 4wd. You already have the shaft you need.

What about the intermediate shafts is different? They both have a flange for a rag joint.
