WIF wont go off

WIF wont go off

ok i just changed the fuel filter, with nothing special, just a regular filter, this was my first time to do it so it got a little messy but i got in the truck to start it, and the WIF stays on, i read somewhere of this happening, how would i go about fixing this problem

Sounds like the spring inside the filter is hitting the probes on the WIF sensor. Gotta take it all apart to check.

well could i just undo the wires to it and just drain it every fill up ( every 2-3 weeks)and just not worry about it

mine does this if i get water on the connection when i wash it or fuel from changing the filter, all I have to do is unplug it for a day or 2 and let the connection dry out , plug it back in and works fine.
