Thumbs up WIF sensor

Hi guys I asked for advice on the WIF light staying on after degreasing the engine. I tried blowing the connectors out with compressed air, wd-40 etc. and the light still stayed on. When I was finally about to give up and buy a new sensor a week later the light finally went out. I think I'm gonna try to use a clear silicone to seal the base of the connectors and see if that helps keep the water out next time. Thanks for the help.

Jeff

I think the worst place for water intrusion is where the wires enter the bottom of the sensor itself. The connectors seal up relatively well, as long as nobody has lost the little rubber seal that falls off when you unplug it.

I have had success with filling the connectors with dielectric greas and just staying away from that area when cleaning. Goodluck,,Rick
