Wierd "OD" Issue

Ok truck info: 92 D350 auto all stock, everything works but the CC, and the harness has never been hacked. The od has been getting worse ie: shifting in and out, in and out from 35mph to about 50. Ive adjusted the tps all over the place and even replaced it with another that worked, but still no diff. Even unplugged it still no diff. Also my od button lights up when pushed but has no effect on the tranny. Any clues or help?

are your wires clean and with good contact - not just the weatherpack on the TPS, but also the dash button?
I had similar issues: I replaced the TPS with a potentiometer and that did solve OD issues, but soon after I got clutches problems, and finally lost the A518 after hauling heavy.
Again, maybe check your wiring first and then the pot.
My limited 2cts...

The OD button is just a momentary pushbutton that tells the PCM what you would like, it does not directly control anything.

Is the speedo steady while this is happening?

I haven't checked the wires at the trans yet, but all other connections are clean and tight. The speedo does not act up when this is happening. I have noticed that it gets worse the hotter the truck gets

Hmmm, well the transmission has a temperature sensor that kicks it out of OD if the fluid gets too hot. Perhaps it's low on fluid?
