I am getting water drips on the passenger's side carpet that I assume is coming from the AC. I have read about how that might be because of the AC drain being plugged, and how easy it is to clean out the drain, but where the heck is it? I have just spent most of the morning lying on my back, both under the truck and under the dash, and I can't find anything that resembles a drain. Would someone do me a favor and please tell me how to find it?

I second that motion. Mine just drains intermitently, but when it drains it pours,no water in the floor though, 48 deg at the vent on a 95 deg day on 134a. Still think if it drained properly I could squeeze a few more deg out of it, maybe wishfull thinking

 

Look behind the A/C dryer, it should be sticking through the firewall there.

 

You know, I don't have a clue where it is on the 1st gen trucks, but on the 2nd gen trucks it is on the firewall, reachable from under the hood, hiding directly behind the accumulator(big upright cylinder plumbed into the a/c system). At about level with the bottom of the accumulator. Little black tube sticking straight out about 3/4".

 

It's on the firewall under the blower motor according to the factory manual

When I looked at the firewall, I couldn't see anything that looked like an AC unit. I knew the general vicinity of where it had to be, but I couldn't see anything. One half of the firewall, from the center of the engine bay behind the engine and turbo, right out to the fender is hidden behind a big black featureless plastic shield. I guess I'll have to figure out a way to get all that off first.

I'm having the same problem with water leaking in.

I only replaced/repaired my AC about 2 weeks ago after having none since I owned the truck.

I just went outside to look at the cover. No need to remove it. Look below ( not behind ) the cardboard fan cover and the hose is right there. It's got a flattened end on it. I sqeezed the end and it was filled with crunchy crud and then a TON of water ran out. Easy repair
