Where to get governor weights for 618 swap
I ended up getting all of the parts and I installed the transmission; however, I am having a little problem with the OD. I have not hooked up the pigtail for the OD and lockup, does that mean that overdrive will engage at all?
As of right now OD does not kick in, so I am wondering if you need to apply power to the middle pin and ground the OD pin. Does this sound right?
Thanks for all of your help

You are correct, middle pin gets +12v from a key on source and the other 2 will get grounded to engage OD and lockup respectively.
And read this if you haven't already, I'm sure you already found it in the sticky.

Awesome!
I installed the pigtail and wired the switches up, everything seems to work GREAT!
I do have a question about the lock-up feature of the transmission though. When I switch the lock out switch on, it automatically engages overdrive lockup, is this right?
When I am going down the road I swear I head it shift through 3 gears(so it is in OD) and then I hit the lockup switch and it brings the RPMs even lower, like a 5 gear...?
Obviously it does not have a 5th gear but is it doing this because it is not allowing the TC to slip when in OD which makes it seem like it is in a higher gear?
Also JD730 I saw that you mentioned a billet front lever for locking up in any forward gear, where can you get one of these and why does it have to be billet, it must just be a different length or something right?
Thanks for all of you help!

.
So the lock up feature on a stock vavle body will only lock the transmission in OD.
That sucks! I won't be towing in OD, it will be in 3rd which can't be locked up with out a aftermarket valve body?
JD730, thanks for all of the valuable information.

I'm sorry if I didn't make it super clear. A stock valve body will only lock in forward gears when the shift lever is in D. It will lock in 3rd and OD, If your locked in OD and want to shift out of OD it won't until you unlock the converter, then it will shift into 3rd and you can lock the converter again. But it will shift from 3rd to OD with the converter locked, but the downshift is the funny one.
Oh, I could have swore last night when I had the OD switch off(OD disengaged) and I flipped the lock up switch it shifted to OD... but I could be wrong it was pretty late and I didn't get to drive it much.
THanks again for the info.

OK, I see, ignore my last post. The transmission will lockup in 3rd and OD and it works awesome!
This site and the people on it are awesome, thanks for everything again.
