alright well i got the starter put in and i see that my starter will only nick the tip of the flexplate gear tooth, i can only put the starter in one way and i cant figure out how to get it to work, if i turn it one way the start bolt flange hits the block and there is really no way i can turn it the other way because the start body will hit the block on the bottom, what would you suggest? i also put the 618 adapter plate with tourque converter and flexplate in there and im using my old starter from the 518, is there something im supposed to modify? i see in the sticky it says i can use the old starter.

oooooops, well i read that again and i see i need a new starter, sorryy about makin ya read that.
