Just thought of this today and thought it would be a neat thread.

What is the manufacture date on your motor, and how many miles are on it. I would like to see who has the earliest produced motor and the latest. Not 100% sure if it's the Day/Month/Year, or Month/Day/Year on the engine ID tag.

So I'll start.

My motor was produced 11/08/88 (Nov 08/1988) or (Aug 11/1988) and it currently has 162,200 miles on it.

February 2011, about 3000 miles on it I would guess.

I have a non-IC'd 1991 and a 1990...no way either ov those is in the running for earliest or latest...

How do you figure this out when you don't have any data plate on the .side of the timing cover?

 

My lead time was +/- 17 days to vhicle build date per the MDH (mounth-day-hour) lower left corner of door sticker.

 

I think a 30 day lead time is about right.

 

checked my 1990 truck tonight.motor,2-28-90,door jam plate,mfg.4-90,mdh 04-04-09.it has 525,000 on the truck.sure wish i could read the plate on my 89.
