wheels/tires - do newer OEMs fit?

I've been offered a set of new wheels and tires taken off of a 06 2500 w/cummins. Owner is going for bigger fancier set.

These are 17 rather than 16 and I imagine I'll have to use a hole saw to make room for the manual hubs in the cap, but does anyone know if the backspacing, etc is same or similar to my original wheels.

In other words, will this work? I have a 92 4x4.

Thanks

Backspacing is too deep for the front.

16x7-16x8 are good for near stock size tires. I believe 4-4.5" backspacing is about right. Others will be able to confirm or deny this.
