whats that part called??

what is the actual name of the part that some of have bypassed in the anti-lock brake circuit? the valve thingie on the driver's side rear frame rail with the bleeder screw, electrical pigtail, and so on. i am trying to find it on rockauto.com, but there are several different valve-looking thingies, called by different names. i no longer even have mine, so i have nothing to go by. i am going to reinstall mine, as i drive alot of hilly, dirt roads, and an empty bed mixed with slamming on the brakes, makes the back end come around way too quick.

RWAL Saga - Ends!

Some of you may remember my nightmare chasing RWAL red herrings last year. I troubleshot that thing until I was blue in the face when the RWAL indicator refused to go out after a panic stop engaged the RWAL one time. I even followed the exact troubleshooting steps found in a TSB related to RWAL problems. No problem was ever found after a couple months of checking and re-checking everything in the system. Except the dang indicator light would not go out.

So I ended up just unplugging the RWAL box behind the glove compartment. Tried plugging it back in a after a few days, then a week, then a month later. No change. So finally a YEAR later (just a couple weeks ago, actually) I tried it again. No light. RWAL seems fine. I guess I fixed it. Or maybe it fixed itself. Or maybe it really isn't working and I won't find out until after the crash.

I HATE it when that kinda stuff happens...

is it called "ABS Actuator Assembly", or "ABS Hydraulic Unit" or " ABS Modulator"? the first two appear to be the same, but the last also looks like it could be it, but the price is different than the other two.

When doing a bed swap (flat to pickup), someone somewhere nicked a brake line. We bypassed the RWAL valve completely, and I HAV EGREAT BRAKES!! I haven't had Dodge brakes this good in a LOOONNGG time. Pedal feels nice and firm like it should. This tells me that either 1) the RWAL hydraulic unit wasnt working properly, or 2) there was air in it. Either way, I grew up on vehicles without ABS/RWAL, so I am more comfortable knowing the rear brakes wont let off at the most inopportune time.
