Whats the biggest turbo for pods?

Like it says...Ive got Pods right now. Would upgrading my HX35 to a stage 3 (35/40 hyrbid) be substantial and worth the money, or should I wait until I upgrade injectors next summer and go with an s300 or the like? If I do the stage 3 it will be when I go intercooled.

With POD's already, don't waste your time and money with a hybrid.

Couldn't have been said better. My HTB2 62/12 will cool it pretty well, but will still get hot on the WOT blasts, still seeing 1400* on a hard romp.

Yup, I would have said HTB2. The real problem with POD's is they just aren't that efficient. An EDM that flows the same fuel will run a ton cooler with the same turbo.

No, you can put an HTB2 (or whatever you think you want) on now, the POD's will flow enough fuel to spool it nicely.

Okay, but the hybrid 35/40 wont be worth it? Im just saying cause its $250 and the cheapest HTB2 Ive found is some $900, I guess an S300g falls under the HTB2?

Yeah, a hybrid is marginal with POD's and a cranked up pump. Go even bigger on the injectors and it's just hopeless (I oughta know ) No sense spending $250 now and $1000 later, just spend the $1000 when you can and be done with it.

One thing to keep in mind is that when the time comes, you can usually sell the HX35 hybrid for what you have in it in parts, thus costing you nothing. If you have the cash, get the hybrid (or kit to make it a hybrid), and run it til you get your EDMs. You may or may not need the bigger huffer, though more air never hurts. Also, keep in mind you will drop your EGT considerably with an intercooler.

Im thinking Ill save my money and go with an intercooler only. I need to be reasonable and realize I dont really need so much power. However, I REALLY want it. I really dont have much smoke right now except when Im spooling in 3rd and 4th, nothing if I kept it spinning while shifting. Im gonna concentrate with getting her intercooled first and go from there. If I feel I need the extra power before next summer Ill do the hybrid. My bro will be doing a 4 or 6bt transplant in his 93gmc sometime so this hx in whatever form will be going on there most likely.
