Greetings folks,
Can anyone tell me where I can find out just what functions the Power Control modual preforms and maby locate a print? The reason is, I am thinking of removing it and hard wireing those functions so as to not have the problems it causes. Yes, I know it may seem like a crazy thing to do but I am getting a bit Pi--ed at changing this electronic junk. If anyone has preformed this trick please let me know. Thanks.

The PCM runs the A/C, the intake heater, the cruise control, the transmission overdrive(if auto), the WIF light, and it's the voltage regulator. Gonna be a bunch of wiring to make all that work. If you're really serious about trying this, I could copy the wiring diagram out of my '93 FSM. I think you'd be better off troubleshooting it and getting it working correctly, though.

Ditto, your favorite local electrical specialists shop should be able to get you a replacement with all the revisions including smoooooooth cruise control.

I would be very interested in seeing the wireing information you have. I have it wired for the external regulator. I now need to get the air conditioning working. I guess if no one has ever done it it may need to be done. Maybe I am nuts but I am getting sick and tired of paying out good money after bad. If you would be so kind as to make the information available to me I could look it over. You may be right but I first would like to check it out. What ever did we do before we had all the electronic crap shoved down our throats? We still had air conditioning, a workable charging system, the transmissions would shift and everything els worked too. Thank you.
