What turbos are you running?
I have been wanting to upgrade to lower EGT's for years. The amount of information is overwhelming. I am limited of budget and was wondering if those cheap Holset Drag HX40's are worth it. Don't hold back. give me the nitty gritty plain and simple.
My modified H1C delivers 43psi running H20/Meth. EGT's are off scale.

The story of my life. Could you tell me what the specs of your HTT stage IV and DPP stage III injectors are? Just wondering how they compare to my GDS 60mm and DAP 7X.010s'.

I have an H1d with a GDS 60 upgrade, just had to have it rebuilt within 6 months of installing it when my garbage Spectra fuel pump failed and dumped diesel fuel into to my crankcase. Again.
it washed out the bearings.

I too am interested in this. I have done tons of work to second gen P pump trucks and ran a few common rails but this is my first first gen...
I have been looking at the borg warner SXE 362

If you want cheap, run an HE351CW. Same compressor as a Super HX40 but the hot side is small so it spools like lightening - EGT's are similar unless you are pulling hard for a long time above about 2400 RPM then the Super HX40 would be slightly better.
If you want more than an HE351CW, the next step is the SXE362 with the 12CM housing if you are looking for simple and easy.
If you have the skills, the old HX35 and HT3B compound setup is tested and tried and can be put together for a bit less than $1K if you have the fab skills and time. Once you go compounds, you will never go back.
Super HX40 is old technology and not worth it unless you get it for free (or maybe up to $250). Regular HX40 isn't worth scrap price.
I have never been satisfied with the factory cooler stack so on my current '93, I swapped in the radiator and intercooler from a 24 valve second gen - this solved my overheating when pulling hard and dropped over 100° off the pyrometer.
As for what I am running, I have a lowly HX35W that was free bolted on my current W250. With that being said, when I get the time, it will get fed by an HT3B...

Sorry for being so late with replies. I have been under the hood for a while chasing ghosts. I really don't know the specs. They got lost in the shuffle.

I am running an H1c with the Gds 60mm comp wheel and a ported 12 cm exhaust housing. over a 14L 60 series Detroit turbo. i dont remember all the specs on it. i have a 12L Detroit turbo also that works okay but not as cool egts. i am running injectors the next size bigger than 370 marine injectors. will push more than 60psi of boost.
