Everybody talks about changing to the 3200 rpm governor spring...

What are the CTD's stock rpms?

most stock VE pumps will begin defueling by 2600 rpm. That could be adjusted up a little using the high idle and full fuel screw.

Governor screw....high idle screw...same thing.

You can get a 3200 spring from piersdiesel.com bob there set me up with one for $20. It really lets you use the gears longer. Top end was 85 mph now 100+ is nothing (speedometer only reads 100). Cheap investment. I have a tip if you go into the pump to change the spring. Good luck. Let me know if you go that route.
