what rear end oil do you use on 1993
Just was trying to put some good rear end grease in my truck it's limited slip 3/4 ton diesel?? Also do i need to put gasket on it or silicone.

If it's just puttering around empty, run plain old 80W-90. A truck that tows heavy should run 85W-140 synthetic. If the truck has a limited slip rear make sure you put in the friction modifier additive or use gear lube that already has it.

definitely RTV it.... I bought new gaskets and had perfectly clean surfaces and now they drip no matter how tight. I had no leaks before with no gasket... just RTV silicone.
