Then I found photos of the 1st gens meeting up back a million years ago with fellas who are no longer on this site.

Oh well.

Memories....

And to think, those guys were supposed to meet up again, and it was gonna be their turn to buy lunch. Geesh. All I got was these pictures, and never got a return lunch from it.

Not much time to post lately, I’ve been packing and getting truck loads of VW parts. Took the trailer to get the tire fixed today. Getting ready for the big move EAST.

Keep us posted as to when you are heading out. Traveling requires photos of the trip, which we will enjoy with you.

Picked up a 4" exhaust and a set of 60# valve springs to go with my new injection and lift pump.

I hear of so many people doing the 60# valve springs with fairly minor mods to their truck. What great benefit do they bring?

The ability to go higher in the RPM range/increase boost pressure without floating the valves and hurting the motor. They’re mandatory on exhaust brakes too.

So if all I plan to do is pump tuning, and maybe a 366 spring, is it recommended that I get 60# valve springs? I’m still learning

She loved to pose for me, especially when I was making entertainment cabinets.

Amazon Amazon

Bought one like this. Cut the lighter plug off, and hardwired it to a separate under hood fuse panel. Really comes in handy, as u have it. Attached to the back,of,the center console. The dogs can plug in their I phones and video games while we tool around

I know how she must have felt. Mine is getting bad lately.

I just put the back of the truck up on stands. In a few minutes I'll pull the rear diff cover off and see what's what. Been needing to change the oil for a long time. Anxious to see if I have a Limited Slip or not.

Lots of other stuff to do underneath but getting under is hard to do.

Diff cover off!

I got the diff cover off. I was expecting to find a magnet covered with steel shavings but there is no magnet. Is there somewhere else it might be? It's not on the diff cover.

Drained maybe 3/4 gallon of stinky oil out of it. I got a new gallon of 85w90 ready to go back in after I get the cover back on. Got to clean off the old sealer now. Not a fun job while you're laying on your back.

Looks like a plain-ol-diff to me.

Should I think about putting a magnet in there somewhere?

I have Ultra Grey sealant about ready to smear back on after I rest a bit. The nice thing about working for myself I can take long breaks whenever I need to.
