Haha good eye! It's very rigid and won't collapse. The reducer on the filter cover is also from Lowe's. The coupler on the turbo is a K&N piece using a reducer from another cold air piece I had. The setup is solid and is 3-1/2 inch ID.

 

The only way you're gonna see much vacuum on the intake hose is if your air filter is very severely restricted.

I started piecing my steering column together using the best of the two.

 

Changed the fuel filter eliminating the wtr in fuel sensor and the leak I had.
