Hello. I recently bought a 93 1 ton dually reg cab. The overdrive shifts funny. 1st through 3rd shift fine overdrive however seems to hesitate until I back completely off the fuel or if I hold it to the floor long enough it will finally shift. I had the filter and fluid changed, the bands adjusted, and the line pressure increased. When it was on the rack the mechanic noticed some springs missing off the linkages. When he put them on the transmission would only go into 1st and 2nd. he seems to thinks something is wrong in the valve body. I use the truck to pull a 7k 5th wheel camper.

Sounds like the Tps, do a search for tps and do some reading. You can buy a new one, clean the old one or just get rid of it and get a a 5k potentiometer and dial in the od shift you like from about 30 to 55 mph.
