Water Pump Replace Question

Do I just grease the gasket with vaseline and screw in the new pump, or what??

Huh? vaseline and unscrew?? you mean remove the 2 bolts and pull?

It's pretty simple. Make sure there isn't any crud built up on the surface that the o-ring seals against, then put 'er back together. Takes longer to drain and refill the coolant than change the pump.

Yes, a little o-ring lubricant will make the seal last longer. Vaseline is an acceptable substitute if you don't have any o-ring lubricant.
