so the summer is approaching and the performance mods are soon to be underway. I wont be getting to wild but i want about 300 horse. im putting on a a hx35 setup with a larger intake housing. i know things can get a little toasty but i dont really want to bother with an intercooler, so i was thinking that cooling mist should do the trick. I plan on making a custom intake and a larger cross over pipe. As far as exhaust goes itll be a 3.5 to 4inch exhaust into 4 inch stacks. egts shouldnt get to hot but when you see a little ford coming in the rear view, you gotta let em know its a cummins and not to mess with the best!!

anyone on here running water injection? how much does it help with the egts?

 

Figure on 150-200 degrees. Makes about 40 extra HP too.

 

are all the systems equal? I know they have different set ups but will you get the same gains for a lower grade of system?

 

I think there is an DIY system in the sticky.

 

You need a system that can flow enough to bog the motor. Look for setups with a big pump.
