water in fuel

water in fuel

ok well yesterday i changed the valve cover gaskets in my truck, after that i wnet to power wash under the hood, so i bought some engine degreaser and let it sit, then i washed under the hood, after all this i started my truck and it said water in fuel, the truck was still running great and it didnt seem to have any effect, what can i do to prevent this next time?

did it go away after while? Did you drain any fuel out of the bottom of the filter? It may just be that the plug for the WIF sensor got wet.

it went away after 5 minutes of driving, and no i have not drained the bottom of the filter.

sensor

sensor got wet dont worry about it its happens to me when i wash my engine too goes away after 1mile or driving
