Truck is a 1991.5 CTD. The truck system is not charging. Alternator is good. Can I check the voltage regulator on the fire wall?

The voltage regulators on these trucks a notoriously bad and if you change it get a genuine Mopar not aftermarket, then run your signal wire direct form the battery though a relay to get true battery voltage to the regulator, and don't forget to put a ground on the regulator as well

Well, 5324625 as a part number did not work. 5234625 does. Looks like fleabay has some genuine VR's as well as moparpartsgiant.

I gave up on short lived VR's and constant wiring issues and went with a 1 wire alternator. Never happier.
