Unplug check engine light
Unplug check engine light
Hey guys, so I've gotten sick of dealing with the check engine light after the PCM failure. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for a 93? Is there a plug under the dash or do I just pull the bulb? I guess, I'm really asking what is the simplest way to tackle this?
I have an external regulator set up. I'm pretty sure the only thing the ecm is responsible for is the WiF light, and I don't even trust that...
Which one is the ecm fuse? I'll giver 'er a pull and see what happens ha

Ha well both options require pulling the cluster out don't they? Might as well pull the bulb if they require the same effort. I was really hoping to pull a wire and be done with it, I hope the ecm fuse works.
well, good news is i printed the circuit, dark blue wire feeds the pcm, bad news, its from the ignition switch, and the orange fuse link, which also powers the starter circuit, diagram shows black pink going to check engine light from the pcm terminal 32, dark blue pcm power feed wire is terminal 9

Ok now I'm not very familiar with wiring or how any of this works, but does that mean that I could just unplug the CEL from the pcm at terminal 32? Not sure how that works. I guess pulling the fuse isn't an option unfortunately, unless I wanted to do some major rewiring.
Edit: Ok I did a little reading and I realize that it's part of a much larger plug. Would it be smart to just cut the black pink wire, tape it up, and stick it back in the loom? That way, if I ever needed it again I could splice it back together, but at least I don't have to deal with that pesky light.
