Turbo Oil Lines

OK. I have a baby H1C and went to put on the HX35 that I got and to my surprise both the inlet and the outlet are different. The threads on my feed oil line are larger then the one on the HX and my drain flange is smaller then the one on the HX. My question is, is there a difference in the oil line sizes from a non ic motor to a ic motor, can I just get the lines off of a ic motor or do I have to get the lines from a newer HX equipped motor.

Thanks for your input.

The IC'd models have an adaptor fitting in the oil inlet. The feed line is the same. You need the fitting. Your drain tube should be the same as well. Do the two bolt holes line up?

For the oil inlet adapter, you might be able to swap the fitting.

So the housing is machined for a flare fitting?

Good so I can get a fitting that will take my larger hose and adapt it down to the HX size fitting. The HX looks to be about 1/4" npt and the H1C looks to be about 3/8" npt. And yes the bolts look like they will line up but I noticed that the gasket I got for the return line seems much larger then the return hose.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Can I get the fitting from a IC housing to fit my oil line or do I just get another line.

Yep sure can, no need to get another line $$. It's some kind of reverse flare o-ring fitting. A good junkyard with hx35's or hx40's laying around would be the easiest place to find one, or take your line and center section in to a good fitting shop and they can match it up with one or more adaptors.

I would flush the hose with brake cleaner or something before you put it on.

Did they not have any fittings?

No they did not. I needed one to go from the o-ring style 12mm to a inverted flair and they didn't have them so he just made me a new line and gave me the fittings. I was expecting to pay $75 to $100 so I thought that the price was quite fair. And the best part is that it works and doesn't leak.

I got mine done at O'Reillys for about $25 dollars. They made it out of hydraulic hose.
