Question on turbo oil lines...

How much of an angle is going to be harmful to the turbo? I'm having my S300 put in and was told they can't get the oil feed and drain lines even close to the optimal 0 degrees (straight up and down).

I figured it wouldnt matter too much since the line is under pressure anyways.

There is a spec for how far it can be tilted, but not sure of the #'s. It needs to be able to drain good or it will leak oil. Should be able to loosen the center section from the exhaust housing and rotate it until the drain is straight down.

The spec. for the oil return (out of the turbo) is 30 degrees off vertical. The oil ports through the bearing housing should be as close to vertical as possible.
