>>> Turbo Oil Line ??? <<<
I need a little info on the original issue 1989 Dodge/Cummins oil feed line that carries oil from the top of the filter bracket to the top of the turbo; braided stainless line.
At the filter bracket end of this line, there are two hex-nut fittings, both accept a 5/8" line-wrench.
Between these two "nuts" is a slender tube of about an inch or so long.
Then there is an adapter fitting that actually screws rigid into the filter bracket.
Is the reason for the two "nuts" because the top one is sort of a swivel, allowing the braided hose to be oriented; or, can the upper portion be screwed loose from the lower ??
The reason I ask is because I turned the upper "nut" a whole bunch and at first it seemed to come apart at that point; then, I moved the wrench to the lower "nut" and the whole thing un-screwed right out of the adapter in short order.
I sort of think it is a swivel, but I am uncertain.
Thanks.

I don't know bearkiller. I did the same thing but never got the lower one off the upper one to see if it swiveled.I replaced it with a small hydraulic hose from O'Reillys. Cost me something like $15 but that was 4 years ago.
